At 10 o'clock in the morning, the project team members went out to start a day of field work. The bone-chilling wind whistled by, mercilessly penetrated their clothes, and made every member of the team feel the deep chill. Holding geological hammers, compasses and magnifying glasses, they traversed the rugged terrain, overcame the interference of gusty winds, and carefully observed every rock, trying to catch the traces of gold from the smallest details.
In May this year, the Xiaodaban project team formally started the journey of searching for gold and copper ore. The age of the team members spans from "after 70" to "after 00", and they harbor a common dream, which is to realize the breakthrough of finding gold in the mining area and add bricks and mortar to the development of the company.
A winding, rugged plateau with mountains stretching into the distance as far as the eye can see. Hard rocks and the occasional passing of a lone eagle. Every field operation is not only a test of skill and experience, but also a challenge of will and endurance.
When working, the team members had to carry out trench cataloging operations in the environment of snowflakes flying in the sky. "We not only discovered the geological mysteries, but also experienced the baptism of rain, which is the real "wind and rain" exploration. In the face of the harsh environment, the project team members are always able to humorously resolve and rise to the challenge.
In order to improve work efficiency, the team members can only sit on the ground at lunch time with snacks, chilled mineral water to deal with a moment, tired lying on the ground to close their eyes and rest for a moment to get up and continue, in this inhospitable land intertwined with a special flavor, become the team members in the difficult environment of a trace of solace.
"Don't crowd together, give the rolling stones some space, they also need social distance." Elderly team member Li Jinyuan always remind everyone to pay attention to the safety of field work.
The road of searching for minerals is full of bumps, due to the thick coverage of the surface residual slope deposits in the mining area, it is impossible to find the outcrop intuitively, and more than a hundred samples were collected from the construction of exploratory tanks one after another, but the assay results showed that no samples with high gold content had appeared. The samples collected were not representative, which caused great trouble to the team members in searching for minerals.
Where is the gold in the end? This question has been troubling everyone, the project has not found an ore body with scale and industrial value, which makes it difficult to arrange the deep drilling work, and everyone's mood once seemed low.
The project leader said, "Maybe there are limitations in the understanding of the predecessor, we can change the idea of searching for minerals, geological search for minerals need to summarize the cycle of practice and break the conventional thinking, since it is not ideal to look for gold in the tectonic fracture zone, there are secondary tectonics in the erosive fracture zone, are there not? Let's focus on the secondary information on the digging research, get to the bottom of it!" Everyone's idea is the same.
With the enthusiasm and persistence in searching for minerals, the team searched for new target geological bodies and continued to look for new clues, focusing on the analysis and study of the secondary fracture to be exposed by means of trenching engineering.

Whenever the night falls, the team members can't care about the tiredness of the day, often picking the light to fight at night. They can only sleep peacefully after organizing the survey data during the day, drawing geological maps and arranging the work for the next day.
